About the Book
Weber’s Theory of Social Economics is based on large measure on his youthful studies, which had borne on the most varied subjects—agrarian problems of antiquity, medieval trade relations, the position of agricultural workers and worker’s conditions in modern factories. For everything relating to economic and social questions, he displayed a boundless curiosity, based on the phenomenon of capitalism. This edition examines Weberian economic sociology in eight chapters— Sociological analysis of capitalist economy, economic sociology, role of rationality in economic life and social structure, historical development of social economics, the relation between ascetic rationalism and modern capitalism and and his vision on contemporary economic sociology.
