About the Book
This book The Scientific Miracle in the Holy Qur’an is an attempt to introduce some of the recent scientific interpretation of 700 Quranic verses. The book has been divided into eight chapters which cover- the concept of scientific miracles in the Holy Qur’an; the origin and existence of the universe in Qur’an; solar system as explained in the Holy Book; explanation of the creation of earth and its atmosphere; the evolution of life as revealed in the Qur’an; the medical miracles of the holy Qur’an; the miraculous development of the human being from miniscule embryo to grown adult and the physics as revealed in the Qur’an which includes earth’s gravitational force, the relativity of the time and sub-atomic particles. It is hoped this book will mark the beginning of an eventful chapter in the scientific interpretation and will draw the attention of other scholars of this field.
About the Author
N. K. Singh, Ph.D from Patna University, Patna has specialised himself in Islamic studies and wrote a number of important books-Islam in Western Perspectives; Peace Through Non-violent Action in Islam; Islamic Mysticism in India; God in Indian Islamic Theology and Unseen God. He has also edited Encyclopaedia of the Holy Qur’an in 5 Vols. His focus, particularly, on Islam, has received high appreciation from scholars of Islamic countries. Presently, he is working as the Director of International Centre for Religious Studies, Delhi and Chief Editor of Global Religious Vision-a quarterly research journal.
