Literature on Islam and Sufism is covered in this book. Sufi practices have been included in order to make clear to the reader how to grow and become professionals to practice. Sufi practices and meditation are not meant to be read cursorily, but to practice under the direction of a spiritual guide. Read it and practice may realize the importance of Islam and Sufism in your daily life which yields old knowledge and practice into new fields of Psychology i.e. Islamic and Sufi Psychology. About the Authors

Dr. Akbar Husain (D. Litt.) is Professor in the Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (India). Recently, he has completed the tenure of Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is the author, co-author and editor of 39 books and 155 empirical and theoretical papers, and 101 chapters in edited books. Prof. Husain has supervised thesis to 4 Post Doctoral Fellows, 35 Ph.D. thesis and 10 M.Phil. dissertations. He is an acronym lover, introduces a number of psychological concepts in books, edited volumes and proceedings of the conferences for conducting researches in the field of psychology. He has standardized a number of psychological tests. Prof. Husain delivered keynote addresses, invited lectures/talk, in the national and international conferences/seminars, refresher courses, orientation programmes and workshops. Dr. Azizuddin Khan is Professor in the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. His areas of research and interests are Developmental Neuropsychology, Education and Child Development, Eyewitness Testimony, Cognitive Ergonomics, EEG/Event Related Potential, Working Memory and Prospective Memory and Developmental Dyslexia. Dr. Mustafa Nadeem Kirmani, currently working as an Associate Professor (Clinical Psychology) in Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology, Amity University Haryana. He has more than 10 years of professional and teaching experience. He completed his Doctorate from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and received his Professional M.Phil Clinical Psychology training from NIMHANS, Bangalore. He is UGC NET qualified and has 61 published papers in the peer reviewed journals. His areas of interests are Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, Mental Health and Religion, Positive Mental Health and Psychotherapy.  Dr.Kirmani is a Professional Life Member of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologist.

Zohra Khatoon is a Research Scholar in the Deprtment of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. She has attended and presented papers in the national and international conferences at the AMU. She is co-author of Manual Islamic Counselling. Her fields of specialization are: Counselling Psychology and Islamic Psychology.
