This edition of Personality Development is an unique attempt to do justice with practices aimed at curing malfunctioning and providing conditions favourable to individual development. It comprises these aspects with a conviction to consider not only universal needs and modes of organisation but different personality dispositions shared by the different social group. The new edition contains seven chapters. Author regards personality as ‘the disposition that lies behind behaviour’ and to identify major problems, discusses ‘elements of personality and how they are organised, boundaries of personality and how personality interacts with other phenomena’.
Introducing concept of critical ‘periods’ author has delineated the major critical periods and salient responses associated with each period. The scholarly discussion touches to a new horizon to study ‘political personality’. About the Author
M.U. Ahmad, a leading educationist and eminent scholar of Psychology, is the leading light of Bangladesh intelligentsia. He has authored many important treatises and books and travelled worldwide to participate in International gatherings of psychologists. He has presented several papers in national and international seminars, conferences and workshops. Presently he is an ad-hoc teacher of Psychology in Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
