About the book
Motivating managerial employees has been of common concern for sustaining organizational growth plan. This edition addresses a question– In what manners such motivating forces can be created and sustained? The answer to such queries is not straightforward; there is no one-stroke solution to the problem. The findings have suggested a wide spectrum of interpretations, but in a focused manner, it brought out the message clearly that there is no alternative to analytical approach suggested by the Valence-Instrumentality-Expectancy framework to motivate managers and sustain their level of energies. This edition is, therefore, a very small attempt to explore motivational potentials of managers by assessing their job characteristics either as something that creates valence for them, or something that leads to rewarding performance or something that is predictable as part of the actionable programme managers have and of which they know the odds.
