About the Book
The objective of this book is designed to be positioned as the premier, broad-based, scholarly one focusing on all the substantive issues related to the Make in India initiative by the Indian Government. With the purpose of evaluating, exploring, and focusing on the opportunities that the Make in India initiative is expected to bring, we are creating an edited volume that is aimed at exploring the new path way for all the stakeholders who are to be benefited. The chapters have been contributed by various authors of high repute in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. The authors have tried to evaluate the opportunities and the hindrances that may come across the Make in India project. However, the topics that have been considered in the book are Innovation opportunities to Entrepreneurs, Opportunities for Mergers and Acquisitions, Employment Opportunities, Policy Reforms, Prospective Labour Reforms, Foreign Direct Investment, Digital India and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Infrastructural Development, Opportunities for Women Empowerment, and Impacts on International Trade and Commerce.
The book will be helpful to the readers at various stages; be it the students, researchers, academicians, professionals or the general public. The readers will come to know almost all the issues related with the Make in India initiative of the Government. It will work as a guide to the research scholars in developing a research plan for further research on the topic and the diversified fields. The book is also expected to aid the professionals and general public to update their knowledge about the Make in India initiative of the government.
About the Editors
Dr. Dharen Kumar Pandey is presently working as an Inspector of Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax, CBEC, Government of India. He has previously worked for the Income Tax Department, CBDT, Government of India. The author had completed his research from Faculty of Commerce, Banaras Hindu University on the topic entitled “Commodity Market in India: A Case Study of the NCDEX”. He had completed his Graduation and Post- Graduation from Banaras Hindu University. He had been awarded B.H.U. Gold Medal for standing first in the M. Com. Examinations, 2008. The author has also qualified UGC NET (JRF) examination in Dec., 2012 and CS (Inter) in August, 2011. He has been awarded the Second Best Presentation award by the SMS, Lucknow. He has authored a book entitled “Commodity Trading in India”. He has got published 23 research papers and articles in reputed journals such as The Business Analyst (SRCC, New Delhi), The JJDMS (XISS, Jharkhand), The India Journal of Commerce (Indian Commerce Association), etc. He is presently holding the post of Honorary Secretary of the Patna Branch of the Indian Accounting Association.
Dr. Brajesh Kumar Tiwari is presently serving the Department of Humanities & Management Studies, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, India, in the capacity of Assistant Professor. With good academic record he has completed his B. Com (Hons.), M. Com, and Ph.D Degree from Banaras Hindu University. Besides this he also completed MBA & M.Phil degree from other intuition. Dr. Tiwari was honoured as “Yuva Kashi-Gaurav” by the Purvanchal Vikas Samiti, Varanasi, “Mother Teresa Award” by CPRA Delhi and “Best Volunteer” in Faculty Annual Day by Faculty of Commerce BHU. He got Best Research Paper Award at International Conference in Nepal and one of his Research Paper was selected for Best Business Academic of the Year Award “BBAY Award” in 58th All India Commerce Conference. He has attended more than thirty five International and National seminars & conferences and has presented around two dozen papers therein. He holds 25 research paper publications in reputed International (foreign based) & National Journals. He has authored three books from USA & Delhi and has three chapter contributions in edited books to his research basket. During his Ph.D he got UGC Research fellowship. His Foreign Academic Visits include Thailand, Nepal and Singapore. He is a life member of Indian Commerce Association, Indian Accounting Association and Indian Economic Association. His interest areas include Banking and Corporate Strategy.
