Description
About the Book
The present edition deals with both conventional and new approaches to trade theory and policy, treating all important topics in international economics and clarifying its intricacies. In this edition author presents a variety of international trade models and includes trade policy analysis in both perfectly competitive and imperfectly competitive markets. It also addresses current issues such as free trade area formation and administered protection policies. The models are developed, not by employing advanced mathematics, but rather by walking students through a detailed description of how a model’s assumptions influence its conclusions. But more importantly, each model and theory is connected to real world policy issues.
The book is intended for undergraduates, graduates and researchers alike. It addresses undergraduate students with extremely clear language and illustrations, making even the most complex trade models accessible. This edition has been thoroughly revised and updated to reflect the latest research on international trade.
