Human life is full of uncertainty and challenges and their activities are mixture of legal and illegal works. Trafficking is a global problem that transcends national borders and involves countries of origin, transit and final destination. This means that it is a problem, which is impossible to be solved inside the borders of a country. It can be classified in various categories, like as human trafficking, organ trafficking, animal trafficking, arm trafficking and drug trafficking. The present book highlights, considers and discusses various contemporary issues of illegal trafficking from different perspectives. It is hoped that the present edition of this book will be beneficial to all concerned of the society, in general and students, lawyers, advocates, academicians, human rights institutions, researchers and NGOs working in illegal trafficking field, in particular.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr. Sukanta Sarkar is associated with Faculty of Management Studies, ICFAI University, Agartala (Tripura). He did B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Tripura (Central) University and Ph.D. from Singhania University, Rajasthan. Currently, he is  Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) in Department of Economics, Berhampur University, Odisha. He presented many research papers in various seminars, conferences and symposiums. His research papers have been published in foreign and Indian journals. He has authored books relating to Corruption, Human trafficking, Orphan children, Rubber plantation, Corporate social responsibility, Handicraft workers, Deforestation, Environmental pollution, Agrarian economics & Social security.

Dr. Suman Kalyan Chaudhury, M.Com, MBA, PGDPM&IR, Ph.D. (Utkal University), is a distinguished scholar of Finance & Accounting and a dedicated researcher and teacher. His superior academic credentials have put him in a status as exemplary and a role model in management. He has published 40 research papers in different referred national and international journals. At present 10 research scholar doing Ph.D in the area of management under his guidance and one scholar has awarded Ph.D. His excellence in methodology and competency in pedagogy is well accredited. He has innate curiosity and his passion for management and industry is unique in style. He has presented 60 papers in various National and International conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops. He has 13 years of teaching experience, 3 years industry experience along with 3 years research experience. Currently Dr. Chaudhury is working in Berhampaur University, Odisha as a placement officer in P.G. Dept. of Business Administration.
