About the Book
The present book examines the concepts and the interdependence among human rights, security and development into four chapters. The first chapter traces an integrated view of human rights, security and development in contemporary scenario. The second chapter focuses evolution and scope of human security and its significance for the welfare of the disadvantaged sections of the society. TheGandhian vision human security and peace building has been examined in the third chapter and the fourth chapter analyses complex scenario of human security and human development in global, regional and national perspectives. This book is based on the model syllabus prescribed by UGC for graduate and post-graduate students. In addition, it will also serve as a reference for teachers, researchers and human right activist. Individual chapters are as self-contained as possible with adequate cross-references where necessary.
About the Author
S.M. Triphati former, professor of Psychology, Agra University, Agra, is an eminent psycho-philosopher. He has written several books and research papers of international repute on positive psychology. Presently, he is associated with several Research Institutes and also a member of the Advisory Board of International Centre for Religious Studies.
