About the Authors
The book entitled Horizons of Spiritual Psychology is both traditional and novel in its approach which covers mainly the Indian and Malaysian perspectives as well as the spiritual concepts embedded in various religions. This volume classified into five sections. Section I contains the two keynote addresses which relates well with the Sufism and Well-being aspects. In Section II, the articles deal with spirituality and positive behaviour. Section III includes the articles related to the psychotherapy and counseling. Section IV addressing how to assess Spirituality, Religion and Education aspects are dealt in section V. About the Authors
Akbar Husain is Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He has published 15 books as sole author, editor and co-editor and 140 articles and book chapters. His current research interests are in the fields of Spiritual Psychology and Psychological Assessment.
Shahrir Jamaluddin is Head, Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. His research interest is mainly in the area of Measurement and Evaluation.
Osman Hashim is Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. His research interests are in special education and spirituality.
Loh Sau Cheong is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Her research interests are in special education, educational psychology, cognitive psychology, children with learning disabilities and spirituality.
Mariani Md Nor is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Mariani has published a number of books. She is currently the coordinator for the Early Childhood Program, faculty of Education, University of Malaya.
Hamidah Sulaiman is Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Her main research and professional interests are in the field of counseling.
