About the Book
The primary object of the second edition of Encyclopaedic Biography of the World Economists is to provide comprehensive and informative biographical description and theoretical contribution of 399 leading Economists from 43 countries of the world contributed by more than 260 noted scholars which ranges from one pages to fifteen pages in length. This second edition has been revised, expanded and includes 69 new entries of leading economists of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam who made remarkable contribution in the development of economic theory at different times and places. The new areas of economic theories have been included viz. Computational Economists, Feminist Economists, Gandhian Economists, Macro Economists and International Trade Economists. The entries are written clearly and concisely and include references for those who wish to research the topics in more detail. Undoubtedly, this book becomes indispensable source of reference for teachers, scholars and readers.
About the Authors
M.A. Chaudhary, a noted freelance writer and editor, received his education at Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He worked for ten years as a journalist and editor in several news papers and journals published from Patna. He also taught Economics for two years in R.S.P. College Patna. Presently, he is doing freelance editing and writing.
Gautam Chaudhary is a young and dynamic research scholar of Patna University who assisted Mr. M.A. Chaudhary in compiling and editing this encyclopaedia. He has written a number of research papers and articles which have been published in reputed journals and has attended several national and international conferences and seminars.
