It gives us immense pleasure to present before you December 2013 issue of GJBM published and we owe it all to our dear academicians and scholars, whose relentless faith in us has been a great encouragement throughout. GJBM is an internationally renowned journal and it provides a major platform for publication of high quality research papers in management and its allied disciplines. All research papers submitted for publication in GJBM are thoroughly screened and selected after peer review and maintains the highest ethical and technical standards of the manuscript review. The current volume touches upon some of the latest research issues in management and its related fields. In total, 6 papers covering various functional areas of management have been selected in this issue.
The first paper An Empirical Study on Management Education at Risk: Talent (Faculty) Crisis by Prabjot Kaur and Dr. Ashutosh Priya Awasthi attempts to investigate the talent in numbers as NET qualified, Ph.D. holders, Research scholars and Academicians cum researchers available in the academic market reflecting talent crisis in Indian Business Schools.
The second paper Influence of Selected Psychographic Factors on Consumers’ Preference of FMCG Brands authored by Dr. Sanjay Mishra and Subho Chattopadhyay undertakes to address the inquisitiveness regarding the extent of influence of values, faith, religion and lifestyle on the Indian consumers’ preference of FMCG brands.
The third paper Unfair Advertising and Sales Promotion: Consumers’ Perception authored by Dr. P.V. Khatri and Ms. Rashmi attempts to investigate and analyse the extent of prevalence of unfair and deceptive advertising practices from the consumer’s perception.
The fourth paper CRM vs. HR Issues: An Extensive Literature Review authored by Prof. Surekha Rana, Pooja Agrawal and Dr. Nutan Jha discusses the emerging perspective of CRM with HR issues. This paper also attempts to determine the untapped area of CRM-implementation by researchers.
The fifth paper Job Satisfaction among Print and Electronic Media Personnel: A Study authored by Shivani Arora and S.K. Srivastava attempts to assess the job satisfaction level among print and electronic media personnel.
The final paper A Study of Green Cloud Computing Paradigms by Mahendra S. Aswal tries to address the crucial issues of energy consumption and environmental concerns and discusses various green or energy efficient cloud paradigms.
In the end, we would say that there are lots of findings in this issue which researchers would find interesting. We are very grateful to all the authors and reviewers for their valuable contribution in the success of this journal.
