About the Book
The Present book provides compact knowledge about Ambedkar’s life, education, his experiences and struggles at abroad and in India and finally acceptance of Buddhist way of life into four chapters. The very first chapter provides compact knowledge about Ambedkar’s life, education and his experiences at abroad and in India and finally acceptance of Buddhist way of life. The second chapter examines the influence of three gurus— Gautama Buddha, Saint Kabir and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule— in shaping Ambedkar life. The third chapter traces influence of western intellectual’s thoughts on Ambedkar’s life, thoughts and actions. Ambedkar quest for socio-political transformation is reviewed in the last chapter of this Book. Hope this book will be helpful for readers to understand Ambedkar’s life and action.
About the Author
Bhupen Chaudhary, born in Munger and educated from Bhagalpur University, is a young and dynamic research scholar, an erudite editor of sociology. He is now carrying research on “Social Movement and Agrarian Transformation in Bihar (1947–1990).” He has contributed a number of important research papers on sociology in journals of national repute. Presently, he is teaching in J.R.S. College, Jamalpur.
