Description

Editorial

It gives us immense pleasure to present 18th Volume of June 2024 issue of Global Journal of Business Management. We owe this edition to the hard work of our academicians and researchers. Research paper submissions to GJBM are screened and peer-reviewed to maintain highest ethical and technical standards. The present issue touches upon some of the current issues in business management and its related fields. Six papers of this issue covering various functional areas of management have been rigorously selected.
The first paper, by Ananya Anubhuti, investigates conflict between the academic and the administrative staff of the University of Agricultural Sciences in Odisha and identifies any differences in these perceptions between the two groups. In the second paper, Manisha Rani and Dr. Rekha Narang, describes the development of the idea of occupational role stress and explores and analyses the determinants of occupational stress among banking employees in Karnal district. The determinants under investigation include workload and job demand. The third paper, by Dr. Amirul H Ansari and Mahwish Qamar, focuses on understanding the preference of Generation Z towards non-financial rewards while choosing a job. This paper also investigates the effect of non-financial rewards on perceived attractiveness of a job offering for Generation Z employees. In the fourth paper, Junu Rahang and Siva P.K. Chetri, describes an approach to a gradual social and economic change of community-based entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial scope for different communities, the progress being made so far, the obstacles on its way and ways to tackle those barriers in Assam. The fifth paper, by Paulami Ray and Joy Das, focuses on knowing the linkage between community-based homestay programme and rural economic development in Tripura. The last paper in this issue, Carolyn Vanlalhriati, has attempted to explore the role of Gan Sabra Society as a social enterprise in highlighting the problems and prospects of social entrepreneurship in Mizoram.
The journal provides a platform for empirical research, comprehensive critical reviews, and intervention-oriented articles in the field of business management, as well as for application in a wide range of contexts. The editors extend their gratitude to all authors for their contributions, as well as to the referees and editorial board members for their valuable feedback and suggestions. We hope that our readers will be benefited from the knowledge so generated. We look forward to the continuous support of our contributors and reviewers, and invite papers, recommendations and discussions for further issues.
