About the Book
The present edition of “Psychology for Self, Happiness and Wellbeing” is designed for students interested in applying psychological insights and principles to their own lives. This book having six chapters focuses on the psychology of self and how it correlates with attitude, motivation and emotions, role of emotions in mental health and well-being. The text helps readers to achieve a better understanding among each others. The scope of “Psychology for self-happiness and well-being” draws material from the major perspectives of psychology, including the psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and humanistic viewpoints. The goal of the text is based firmly on increasing readers’ understanding as well as their knowledge about adjustment, in order that they may continue learning and growing on their own.
About the Author
Yihunselam Asrat is an Assistant Professor in School of Pedagogical and Behavioural Sciences, in Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He has done PhD in Social Psychology from Aligarh University, Aligarh. He presented many research papers in national and international seminar and conferences. He has published more than 20 research papers in journals of international reputes. He has linkages with Canadian and American based Professors and has taken part in an international cross cultural research representing Ethiopia. He also worked in John Hopkins University, Center for Communication Program (Ethiopia) on how to apply Psychological knowledge for designing effective SBCC and using research for various health related issues. He was awarded with certificate of recognition for teaching excellence by Bahir Dar University in 2012.
