About the Book

Today the storehouse of scientific knowledge is so great and our technology has so many branches that it is impossible to digest it all in a life time. It is the responsibility of science teacher to develop scientific attitude and a scientific approach among students so that students may appreciate the science and its role in the well being of the humanity. This book has been written keeping in view conditions prevailing in India and is dedicated to those teachers who are making an effort to teach science as a process. It is a challenge to science teachers to balance and integrate immediate needs within the intentions of the year long frame work of goals. This book will also be useful for trainee teachers to learn the nitty-gritty of science teaching and can develop the teaching skills and inquiry-based teaching methodologies, so that they can apply these skills practically. Every attempt has been taken to include the recent information regarding teaching of science. The book becomes interesting due to sharing the valuable thoughts and experience of the authors in the course of writing.

About the Authors

Satyapal Tondon, the renowned educationist served as Director of Distance Learning for Manipur. Earlier he had also worked as special advisor of NCERT. He has written more than five books focusing on contemporary educational problems. Mr. Tondon has won several State and National Awards for his contribution to the field of Education.

Jaspreet Singh, a noted scholar and educationist, has done M.A. in Education and Ph.D. from Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Singh has published three research papers in National and International Journals. Presently, he teaches Undergraduate level in PG College in Chandigarh.
