About the Book

This book is designed and written into six chapters with a vision that it would touch the life of each and every citizen of the country. The policy has been framed with the goals of 21st century without losing the beauty of the Tradition and Value system of Bharat from long ago, and the heritage of Indian Education system that has its perspective on holistic education. The aim of ancient Indian Education was not only for knowledge acquisition but also for the preparation for life and complete realisation of the self. The concepts of learning, how to learn and learning the construction of knowledge are supreme. It is necessary for the youth of our country to equip with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for social and economic advancement of the country.

The reflections in this book along with the suggestions will help the policy developers of the country to take effective decisions regarding the new Education Policy of the country. This book is written mainly for students, teachers, guardians, and other stakeholders, who are actually going to benefit from the National Education Policy, (NEP) 2020. India’s future growth and genuine sustainable development can only be achieved through the proper implementation of the NEP-2020.

About the Authors

Rama Shankar Yadav is an eminent scholar with deep insight in the field of education. He has more than 20 years’ experience in teaching and research. He has done M.Ed. & Ph.D. from Patna University, Patna. He took active participation in many national conferences and seminars and presented his lucid research papers in different journal of national and international repute. Presently, he is teaching in a B.Ed. College affiliated under B.N. Mandal University, Madhepura.

Dr. Rita Raj is an Associate Professor in the English Department at George Mason University. She completed her elementary and secondary education in Delhi. Then after, she joined her mother who is working as an advisor to a company in USA. Her research work was based on modern technological interactions with education. She started building web- based learning environment in 1996. Earlier articles include cultural studies in the classroom, computer-generated graphics, and organisational dynamics. She devoted the earlier part of her career in producing and directing broadcast documentaries.
