Description
About the Book
This revised edition is redesigned Aristotle’s philosophy of science in ten chapters. The very first chapter focuses on his contribution to physical and metaphysical world. His life and philosophy is described in the second chapter. The third chapter examines his contribution to biological synthesis of the time that remained the ultimate authority for many centuries after his death. His observations on the anatomy of octopus, cuttlefish, crustaceans, and many other marine invertebrates are remarkably accurate. The fourth chapter deals with the biological ideas of Aristotle and his emphasis on a series of axioms, rather than on empirical observation, cannot be easily separated from his consequent impact on Western medicine. Aristotle’s contribution to Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy and Geo-Science is described in next four chapters. Influence of Aristotelian humanities and science is examined in last two chapters. We are confident that this edition would certainly help all readers to analyse the subject and reach their own conclusion.
