About the Book
This edition presents international economic relations in the system of the modern economic theory. Particular attention is paid to microeconomic and macroeconomic mechanisms and their implementation under conditions of international integration and globalization. It focuses on specific international trade and financial policies and business transactions using analytical tools from economics, political science, law and business. Readers come to understand the peculiarities and fundamentals of trade in goods and services, as well as cross-border capital flow, and study the methods by which private actors and government officials develop policies in the areas of international trade and finance. We hope that this book will allow students to make the most use of the global research experience of international economic relations.
About the Author
Supriya Iyer is an Isaac Newton Trust Affiliated Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and a Fellow of St Catharine’s College. Dr. Iyer has also been a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her research interests are in development economics and applied microeconomics, focusing particularly on the microeconomics of development, economics of religion, economic demography and education.
M.A. Chaudhary, a noted freelance writer and editor, received his education at Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He worked for ten years as a journalist and editor in several newspapers and journals published from Patna. Presently he teaches Economics in R.S.P. College Patna. He contributed about 15 research papers in national and international journal and participated in national seminars and workshops.
