About the Book
Ageing is an important part of all human societies reflecting in biological, psychological and social changes. In this edition authors have tried to present a clear picture about the problems of the elderly. Not only this, authors want to highlight the physical environment, social environment and changing values of younger generation as perceived by the elderly belonging to home and family environment respectively. Regarding this some suggestions are also inserted in this edition.
About the Authors
Dr. Swaha Bhattacharya is serving in the Faculty of the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Kolkata. She awarded Gold Medal and Sir Gurudas Banerjee Book Prize from Calcutta University. She received Fellowship from International Association of Applied Psychology for Advanced Research and Training on Environmental Psychology and awarded Certificate of Achievement in 2004 which was held at Xi’an, China. She awarded Best Paper Presentation Certificates at IAAP conference in 2003 and 2005. She also awarded certificate and medal for best research paper published in the Gujarat Journal of Psychology in 2008. She attended and presented papers at many National and International conferences in India and abroad. She has published many research papers in National and International Journals. Her name is included in Environmental Psychology Census. She is the life member of many National and International Bodies and Journals including Editorial Board.
Dr. Monimala Mukherjee is the Lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Women’s College, Kolkata. She has published research papers in different Journals and also in Book Chapter. She has participated and presented papers at many National and International Conferences.
